Ponds for Kids Project!!

The finished pond at Antioch Elementary. Thanks again to our students and volunteers for making this a success!

What a Huge success. (Our Volunteers Rock!)

On Tuesday, October 20th, all of our classes had an opportunity to particiapte in this exciting activity. PONDS for KIDS Project! They rebuilt the fish pond located in the courtyard in JUST ONE DAY! Ponds for Kids (PFK) is a national program introduced by North American Water Garden Society (NAWGS). PFK engaged our students via age-appropriate tasks (cleaning rocks, sorting, digging) so that the students feel ownership of the pond from build day forward.

For more information on the Ponds for Kids program, check it out at here!

A huge thanks goes out to Ann O'Hara and all of the volunteers who made this idea come to life.
