Christmas Around The World

Students in Mrs. Kennedy's class have been boarding flights for countries around the world as they study Christmas in other countries. On Monday, December 13, the students were flying from Holland to England.

Students started their journey by going to the Passport Office to have their passports stamped. Once passports were stamped, students boarded the plane and were seated. Prior to take-off, the pilot spoke to the students, telling them how long the flight would be.

Just prior to take-off, the flight atttendant went over emergency procedures and demonstrated seatbelt operation. During take-off, students watched a real airplane taking off via the Internet.

Once in the air, flight attendants served in-flight snacks and drinks. Students talked about countries they had already visited and what they had learned about holiday traditions in each country.
