Dads Become Chefs for Senior Breakfast
Nine Senior class dads met Principal Jackson at CHS at 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 for a special mission. Their mission? To cook breakfast for the members of the Senior class! They made scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, and added doughnuts for good measure.
The students seemed to really appreciate the extra effort of the dads to get up so early to cook for them. "It was fun to see the dads cooking," commented senior Dannon Fields. "It's fun to be a senior this year and separated from everyone else to spend time with our friends before heading off to college. That is the purpose of senior breakfasts!"
Special thanks to Mr. Bristow, Mr. Fields, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Pereda, Mr. Pfaff, Mr. Schaaf, Mr. Schneeberger, Mr. Sica, and Mr. Sosinski! Additional thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Sica for their hours of prep work on Thursday cutting up potatoes, and to Mr. and Mrs. Schneeberger for their coordination.
Finally, we would like to thank Harris Teeter – Cureton for donating all of the bacon, Harris Teeter – Wesley Chapel for donating the eggs, Lowe’s Foods - Wesley Chapel for a $20 gift card to use towards purchasing the potatoes, and Service Master (Mr. and Mrs. McKee) for their $150 donation to purchase all of the remaining ingredients.
Student Council President and senior Trent Johnson noted, "We appreciated the dads taking time out of their morning to cook a delicious breakfast for us!"
