Q-U-A-D-R-I-L-A-T-E-R-A-L wins the Spelling Bee for Kaleb Tyson

Spelling Bee Champion Kaleb Tyson, 3rd from the left, is pictured with his Teacher, Mr. Roskoskey. Also pictured are Allie Griffin, Spelling Bee Runner up and her teacher, Mrs. Underwood.

On December 3, 2010, Western Union held their school-wide Spelling Bee.  The top two spellers from each 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade class found their place on stage.  Students and parents watched as each speller was given a word to spell.  The competition was tough!  the last two spellers were, Allie Griffin and Kaleb Tyson.  After 18 rounds of listening and spelling challenging words, 3rd grade student, Kaleb, won by correctly spelling the word  "quadrilateral".

Mr. Roskoskey, Spelling Bee Coordinator, was impressed at the level of words completed by our students.

Kaleb will represent our school in the district Spelling Bee on January  19.  Kaleb is in the 3rd grade and enjoys swimming, playing basketball, and drawing.

Congratulations to all of our spellers and to Kaleb on becoming Western Union’s 2010-11 Spelling Bee Champion.
