Drama Teacher Appears on Wheel of Fortune

Drama teacher Allison Sanderson recently flew to Los Angeles on December 10 to appear on the popular game show Wheel of Fortune. Mrs. Sanderson’s journey to the game show began in April 2010 when she auditioned at the Crown Plaza Hotel in downtown Charlotte. In addition to the audition, she had to take a written test and solve puzzles in a group setting. Although she cannot tell how she performed on the show, it will be aired on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 36.

Mrs. Sanderson arrived in Los Angeles on December 9 and then went to the SONY Studios in Colver City, California from 7:15 a.m. until 6:00 that night.  Wheel of Fortune records six live shows daily and her show was the last to be recorded! When asked about the game show experience, Mrs. Sanderson replied, “It was a really cool experience to be able to see what goes into filming a live TV show and Vannah White is really nice!”
Mrs. Sanderson is a first-year drama teacher at Piedmont and graduated from Appalacian State in May 2009. Stay tuned to Wheel of Fortune on April 18 to see how she did!
