Car Rider and Inclement Weather Procedures
For the safety of all of our students, it is imperative that we all adhere to the following procedures here at SVES. Students who are car riders may enter the building at 7:45 AM. Students are only to exit their cars in the presence of an adult supervisor. Again, we ask that the inner lane only be used for emergencies, conferences, or items that need to be dropped off that are too large for your child to carry.
We have quite a few pre-school and special needs students that require a few additional minutes to be dropped off. Here at SVES, we do not allow students to walk to and from school due to the location. Hence we do not use the Visitor/Staff parking lot as a drop-off point. We also need for all drivers to slow down and be conscious of your driving speed for the safety of all students.
The clocks here are synchronized to cell phone time. We ask that you all govern yourselves accordingly as we remind you of the following: 7:45 AM drop-off begins; 8:10 AM warning bell rings; 8:13 AM adults re-enter the building; 8:15 AM the tardy bell rings. Parents of any students arriving after 8:13 AM should be prepared to walk their child(ren) into the building for their safety.
In the event of inclement weather, our master schedule follows the normally scheduled lunch and dismissal times. Hence, if we have a 1-hour delay, we open at 8:45 AM. We open at 9:45 AM for a 2-hour delay.
Again, thank you so very much for your cooperation as we strive to keep all of our students safe.
