Landscape sculptures

Local artist, Tom Risser, has been working with BHESA for the past two years to help make the landscape around our school lively. Risser, a sculptor from Waxhaw, NC has generously agreed to adorn the grounds of Benton Heights with numerous sculptures.

The vibrant reds, yellows, and purples scattered throughout the gardens of our campus have really caught everyone's eye. But the most exciting part is the "Star Artists" who helped Tom with this project.

For the past two years, Tom has opened up his home to Benton Heights fourth graders. The hundreds of sculptures that are spread across acres of his property have been more than enough inspiration for our students to eagerly participate in this project.

As educators, we are excited to see our students become a part of this amazing opportunity to collaborate with Tom. This effort has truly made our school a beautiful place to be.
