Jump Rope for Heart Results
Each year, physical education teachers across our district partner with the American Heart Association for Jump Rope for Heart initiatives in the elementary schools.
Congratulations! Rea View raised $7,852 for the American Heart Association! This is well over our $5,000 goal! This also means that Mrs. Redies will be dared to do something crazy and wacky. Mrs. Robinson will take suggestions during your next PE class.
We have also earned a $100 U.S. Games certificate for PE equipment for getting at least 30 students registered online!
Top fundraisers in each grade level are as follows:
Kindergarten - Rachael Ferrando (Mrs. Card); 1st Grade - Evelyn Griffin (Ms. Hyman); 2nd Grade - Maci Parratto (Ms. Bruno); 3rd Grade - Rachel Griffin (Ms. Ramsey); 4th Grade - Kiera Castleberry (Mrs. Fountain); 5th Grade - Nicholas Sliz (Mrs. Geiger)
Top fundraiser overall is a tie: sisters Rachel and Evelyn Griffin each collected $410 for a total of $820! Each has earned a gold medal. The class with the highest participation, with 17 students turning in donations, was Ms. Bennett's class. The class that raised the most money is Ms. Hyman's class! They earn an extra PE day with Mrs. Redies. Mrs. Loper's class has also won an extra PE day with Mrs. Redies. Her class was the lucky class chosen in a dawing that included all classes that were wearing 100% red or pink on their PE day in honor of those affected by heart disease.
