Western Union has been awarded 2 new personal computers by participating in the Union County School Pride Program sponsored by Metro Honda of Union County.  The overall contest will provide $5000 to the school that receives the most votes via Facebook.  This contest ends April 6, 2011.

Trying to keep tax money in our county, Metro Honda of Union County decided to sponsor the Union County School Pride Program to help schools facing the budget crisis.   For the first challenge, we submitted videos of our students stating why our school needs more computers.  We received second place and won a new PC.

The second PC was won when Kelly Mead, a parent from WUES, attended the Facebook Metro Honda Meet Up.  Her raffle ticket was randomly drawn.  We are very grateful to Mrs. Mead for choosing to donate the PC to WUES.

Currently we are participating in the Carolina Courts Challenge and if we win again we will have an additional 3 more computers.  All friends and families of Western Union are encouraged to go to Facebook and vote.   This will help to provide more technology in our building for student use.
