Cavaliers Contribute to 44 Cent Cure

Sophomore Paul Daeth, CHS FCA President, and senior Sarah Wilson represent the FCA donations made to the 44 Cent Cure Project.

The Cuthbertson FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Club donated 44 dollars to the 44 Cent Cure Project to save 100 children worldwide from intestinal worms. New Life 91.1 hosted the fundraiser locally with hope that children from all over the world can be cured. These parasites make their way into their bodies from dirty water, open sewage, and half eaten food the children ingest. The worms can cause nausea, diarrhea, and in some cases even cause death. For 44 dollars 100 children can be saved, for 44 dollars a month 1200 children can be saved a year. The donations fund de-worming medication and vitamin A. With just a small donation we can change the life of a young child. FCA hopes that they can inspire others to give generously so that even more children can experience how just a little can affect a ton. If you would like to be a part of outreach projects such as this, please see Coach Helms before or after school or come to FCA on Wednesday mornings from 7:20 to 7:50.
