News From the Nurse: Prospect Staff Members Practice Healthy Habits!
Many Prospect staff members have been developing healthier habits through the "Survivor Wellness Kingdom†program since January. Throughout this 8 week program, staff members drank at least 48 ounces of water and ate at least 2.5 cups of fruits and vegetables per day. They exercised for 20 minutes, three times a week. Staff reduced their caffeine, sugar and fat intake, while reaching goals of 60 grams of protein and 20 grams of fiber per day.
Teams competed to achieve the greatest body percentage weight loss while earning the most points for achieving the challenges. Staff members all together have shed a total of 150 pounds while practicing healthy habits along the way. Way to go Prospect!
