Forest Hills High Blood Drive A Success
On Friday, February 4, 2011, Forest Hills High School HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) sponsored its annual community blood drive. Even with the many people at the school who had been "under the weather" previously, the drive was reported to be a huge success.
Students and staff volunteered to help save lives. Of the 67 people who presented to donate, sixty-two productive units of life-saving blood were collected. Fifty-five of those gracious volunteers were first-time donors!
Forest Hills HOSA, on behalf of the American Red Cross, and more importantly, the patients and families that depend on the efforts of those who donate both their time to volunteer and their blood, THANK YOU!
