Successful Chocolate Sale Helps Families Around the World

from the left -- Harrison McKellar, Paige Beasley, and Michael McNally

Every year, students from Shiloh Elementary School raise money by selling chocolate. Last year, they chose to donate half of the profits to the Haiti disaster relief efforts. For the 2010-11 school year, Shiloh students decided to purchase animals through Heifer International to help families around the world.

They donated $3770 worth of animals, purchasing 12 goats, 9 sheep, 3 water buffalo, and 1 heifer (cow). Pictured are Shiloh students Harrison McKellar, Paige Beasley, and Michael McNally, three of the top chocolate sellers, tracking the money being raised at each grade level.

The Shiloh Community would like to thank everyone who purchased chocolate to support our fundraiser!
