Second Annual Course Information Fair

Mrs. Wren from the Math Department answers questions from freshmen Jason Spinney and Connor Hamilton.

CHS sponsored their second annual Course Information Fair recently as part of the kickoff to the registration process beginning for students for the 2011-2012 school year. Teachers representing each academic department including Athletics and the Fine Arts created displays to advertise their classes, including posters, signs, samples, textbooks, and various related manipulatives used in many of the courses. The displays were set up in the great hall during lunch periods. Teachers were also on hand to answer any questions and discuss course prerequisites.

Students were invited to browse the displays during lunches to prepare for upcoming registration. Counselor Elenia Daniels said, “The Course Information Fair is an excellent opportunity for Academic Departments to showcase their course offerings. The fair also affords students with information to help them make effective decisions about their course selections.” Registration is currently underway. Any questions regarding course registration may be directed to Mrs. Daniels or Mr. Miller in the CHS Guidance Department.
