Grandparents and Special Person Day at Porter Ridge Elementary
On Friday, April 1, 2011, Porter Ridge Elementary hosted its annual Grandparents' and Special Persons' Day! Everyone was greeted at the door by our Student Government Officers and given a paper flower made in Art Class by our 5th Graders.
Our students' Grandparents or Special Persons were able to celebrate with our students in a number of different ways. Some classrooms had special poems honoring their Grandparents, while other classrooms had art work the students had made to present to their Grandparents. Videos of the students reading special poems were another way our Pirates entertained their guests.
Our School Lunchroom was full with our Pirates and their families as many of them joined us for lunch! This was a great way to share part of our Porter Ridge Pirates' Grandparents' and Special Persons' Day with our Porter Ridge families! Thank you to everyone who helped to make this day a memorable one for our students and families!
