Union holds its 3rd annual Spanish spelling bee
Spanish classes in Grades 3 - 5 have been "buzzing" as students participated in Spanish Spelling Bees at the class and school levels. The Spanish Spelling Bee is called "Juego de las Letras" ( Letter Game) and Union El. has been participating in it for 3 years now. Class "Juegos" began during World Language Week March 7 - 11 and continued for 1-2 weeks after that. Students had to write the Spanish word on the board and if correct then spell it out loud in Spanish! All students had the oportunity to participate and more than 80% did! The top 2 spellers from each class then participated in the School "Juego" which was held on April 1 ( No fooling !)
