Rea View's "Paws for the Cause"
On Friday, May 6 through Saturday, May 7, the annual Union County Relay for Life event to support the American Cancer Society will take place. Rea View staff members are fielding a team for the first time to support this worthy cause. The event will take place at Sun Valley High School with participants walking laps throughout the course of the evening to help raise money for the fight against cancer. There will be entertainment, food, games, ceremonies & stories of inspiration at the event. Anyone is welcome to attend, even if they are not officially on a Relay for Life Team. The event will officially begin at 6pm on Friday, May 6 and continue until 7am on Saturday morning.
Members of the team have worked together to organize a Paws for the Cause fundraiser, selling paw prints in honor or memory of special people who have been impacted by cancer. Paw print sales will continue through Friday, May 6 and will be displayed in the school lobby. On the day of the event, our chain of paw prints will be taken down and pinned to the Rea View tent at Sun Valley. For each paw print sold, a white or red ribbon will be tied to our "Circle of Love" wreath which will be permanently displayed in the front office. If you would like to purchase a paw print, and/or make a flat donation to this cause, please return the order form or visit our "team" website. The order form is also available in the main office at the school. All checks can be made payable directly to the American Cancer Society.
